FAQs

How much will it cost to dip my item?

Base prices for most items can be found on our website on our “Pricing” tab found at the top of the home page.  Pricing varies depending on the application you choose.  Base color (flat, metallic, flake, pearl, etc.) varies depending on current material cost and brand of paint used.  Pattern cost will vary depending on brand and royalties cost (MossyOak, Realtree, Kryptek, etc.).  There are several options available that replicate the name brand patterns for a lower cost value and also look amazing with the same durability as name brand patterns if you choose to go that route. Please give us a call or send us an email for a free quote!

What is Hydrographics and how durable is it?

Hydrographics (a.k.a. Hydro dipping, hydrodip, dipping) has been around for quite a while.  It was originally developed by OEM manufacturers as a way to apply a durable graphic with “paint like” adhesion to 3D parts for aesthetic appeal.  It provides the look of a wrap, with the durability of a solid coating that will last the lifetime of the product.  Camouflage guns, bows, and even wood grain interior trim on almost all luxury vehicles are all processed the same way with hydrographics!

Can my ______ be dipped?

Most substrates (materials) can be dipped!  Wood, glass, metal, plastic, polymers, and even clothing can be hydrodipped.  Our process is unique in the fact that it allows a precisely printed image made of ink to be absorbed by the material whether it is painted with our unique specially formulated paint, or straight to the substrate in certain applications.  Give us a call or send us an email if you have questions about whether or not your part can be processed.

What do I need to do to my firearm/item before bringing it to you for Cerakote or Hydrographics?

All items must be 100% disassembled before bringing them to us for coating. This means all pins, springs, screws, etc. must be removed. The only exceptions are barreled actions. Do not clean your item with Armor All or oil it excessively before bringing it to us. If the item is very dirty, clean with Dawn dish soap and water or wipe down with Isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol.
